LA MAISON LEFEVRE
Some of you have most likely already heard of him or know Alfred Lefèvre's story. This Belgian immigrant came to Esch-sur-Alzette as a builder's labourer in 1889. As best defined by the historian Denis Scuto, he is the archetype of the "self-made man”. Alfred was indeed one of those men who is driven by the need to build. There's a saying that goes “Entrepreneurs are made, not born. This was the case of Mr Lefèvre who as early as 1910 redesigned the Esch-sur-Alzette landscape with significant works such as covering the Alzette or the construction of the steel mill in Arbed Esch/Schifflange.
One project after another came to light including the illustrious Alfa hotel built in 1930. We fell in love with this beautiful manor house which he built in 1897. Along with Tony Tintinger we have done everything in our power for you to enjoy a wonderful meal and share a moment of happiness right here.
