Educational programme

It is important for us to ensure that each child receives a warm welcome and high-quality support in a family atmosphere. We strive to create an environment that best promotes the child's development while the parents are away, without attempting to replace them. The care offered to each child should contribute to his or her growth and ensure that he or she is best prepared for life in the future. We respect every child's individual pace (meals, naps, play time, etc.), however this does not mean that we do not set any rules, limitations or restrictions.

Our objectives and educational principles are:

  • Developing motor skills
  • Developing sensory awareness
  • Promoting stimulative and creative play
  • Ensuring social and emotional growth
  • Teaching culinary and self-care skills
  • Developing independence and a sense of responsibility
  • Promoting language development
  • Stimulating creativity
  • Discovery and observation of nature
  • Playing and learning as an educational process
  • Self-determination
  • Contributing to social development
  • Assuming responsibility
  • Skills as the basis for the ability to make judgements and take action
  • Multilingualism
  • Willingness
  • Open-mindedness
  • Discovering learning
  • Guidance process
  • Learning together
  • Interpersonal skills and dialogue
  • Autonomy and self-efficacy

In our work, we never forget about the parents, which is why they play an important role in our nursery.

For every child, we create a portfolio that traces his or her development. We regularly make Lapbooks* on various topics with the children.

*A lapbook is a type of decorated and personalised booklet that brings together elements relating to a concept explored with the children in the form of drawings, paintings, written work, images, collages and all sorts of graphics.

The aim is to summarise information about a subject and organise it using mobile resources: folds, pockets, wheels, pull-off tabs, flaps, envelopes, post-it notes, etc. Each form and each mobile item corresponds to a concept.

Activities

Activities are necessary to ensure that children develop correctly and to prepare them for adult life. Our educational staff creates an activity plan tailored to the children's age and stage of development. The enjoyment and discovery inherent in our various activities will give children the opportunity to learn while relaxing and having fun. Examples of activities include handicrafts, drawing, walks, psychomotor games, activities designed to develop sensory skills, music, etc.
