About Crèche Nemo & Cie

Némo & Cie Creche in Alzingen

Our creche opened its doors in April 2013 in Alzinghen, a village in the Hesperange area, in a calm residential district a couple of steps away from the Frisange-Luxembourg road and a few minutes from Luxembourg city, Howald and Itzig.

We welcome children (0-4 years) into a large detached 250m2 house surrounded by a large garden.

We are open throughout the year (even between Christmas and New Year) from Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Our hours can be extended on demand.

The main languages at the creche are French and Luxembourgish. We also speak German, Portuguese and English.

Child-care service vouchers are accepted for residents and people living near the border

Our little advantages:

  • Qualified and experienced staff and managers
  • School pick-up
  • Luxembourgish lessons
  • Beginner music lessons
  • Zumba
  • A wide variety of activities and trips (swimming, walks, visits to Parc Merveilleux, farms, Yoyo etc.)

All activities (as well as nappies and hygiene products) are covered by the creche, no additional fees.

Organisation

The Némo & Cie creche is divided into 4 groups depending on the psychomotor development of each child.

  • The 'TITOUAN' (SHELDON) group - Babies
  • The 'TORTILLON' (SQUIRT) group - Over 18 months
  • The 'NEMO' group - Over 2 years
  • The 'DORY' group - Like nursery school

Goals

Working closely with parents, the staff ensure that:

  • Each child is provided a welcome as individual to them as possible.
  • Each child is able to become a part of the group and look forward to going to school.
  • Creativity and the senses are developed and stimulated with wake-up activities.
  • Children are helped to become independent while taking into account the intellectual and emotional psychomotor development and personality of each child.
  • The children's verbal and gestural expression is encouraged through songs, reading, gymnastics and dance.
  • Physiological rhythms are respected through walking, napping, speaking and cleanliness.
