474, Route de Thionville L-5886 Hesperange, Luxembourg
The commune of Hesperange is made up of the towns of Hesperange, Alzingen, Fentage, Howland and Itzig and is located 5 km south of the capital on the banks of the Alzette. The ruins of a feudal manor dominate the landscape.
Straddling the boundary between urban and rural, the landscape varies between countryside, residential areas and industrial zones. The urban areas are divided by numerous green spaces. Hesperange benefits from its strategic location, close to the capital with direct connections to major highways, its dynamic industrial areas and a population which is steadily growing. Every day, the centre of Hesperange is crossed by on average 20,000 vehicles, many of them commuters from France, the south-east of the country and Saarland.
Several projects are currently underway to help stimulate growth and improve the quality of life for the inhabitants: the Hesperange bypass, the development of the city centre and improvements to public transport.
